I am a big follower of Malala Yousafzai and first came to know about her when I read a book about her called I am Malala. I felt so much respect and awe for this brave heart Pakistani girl who at the tender age of 15 took a shot by Taliban because she wanted to study more and refused to follow the instructions of the Talibanis.
Since then she has been fighting against all the injustice and inspiring girls all around to fight for their right to education. Today Malala has grown into a global icon and now people recognize her just by her name.
At her 16th birthday she won a Noble Peace Prize and since then she wears the badge of feminism with pride. We don’t know much about her but now we have got a chance to know this star in a better way. Malala turned 21 and on her birthday she joined Instagram and posted her first photo.
She met women activists in Brazil on Thursday and posted a photo with them on Instagram. In this picture you can see Malala standing in the balcony over a street and smiling while looking in to the camera and she posted this picture with this caption: "Hi, Instagram! So happy to be celebrating my 21st birthday in #Brazil!"
Just within a few hours of joining Instagram Malala got a fan following of 115 thousand and her first post got 90,000 likes. In her Instagram bio, she described herself in these words: "Student, girls' education advocate, @malalafund co-founder, cricket fan."
Malala is a very inspiring girl and if you need some inspiration in your life, you must follow her. Who can be a better person to take some inspiration from than a girl who took a bullet from Taliban, stood up against them, fought for her education and now works to make sure that every girl gets the education that she deserves.
We can’t wait to see more pictures and stories on her Instagram.
