Salman Khan is one of the Bollywood superstars who have a fan base like an ocean. Though he is not known for a great actor but somehow he always manages to get huge box-office numbers. This popularity is solely because of the persona he carries which the ‘aam-janta’ of India likes way too much. He has been criticised time and again for his no-logic movies and his criminal records but still he continues to rule the box-office.
Salman Khan recently gave a few controversial statements again while promoting ‘Bigg Boss’. He is hosting the show yet again and during the promotion he said, he doesn't do "meaningful films" but his movies carry "huge messages".
When asked about playing villain in a movie, he had to say:
"Villain? I can't. I don't want to because if I play it really well then people will get impressed by me and they will start behaving like villains. What I am doing in films... my films have huge messages in them...all my films. The message is that keep away from the wrong and do the right thing."
Next the Superstar Khan said "I don't do messages like 'meaningful films'". He further gave examples of dialogues he mouthed in his movies while justifying his messages "Swagat nahi karoge hamara?" or "Mujh par ek ehsaan karna, ki mujh par koi ehsaan na karna" or "Ek baar jo maine commitment kar di, fir main apne aap ki bhi nahi sunta".
When he had to share his thoughts on being the son of veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, if he feels that he is an obedient son, he said, "I would say yes. I think they (his parents) might differ. It's just that you guys (media) sometimes make me look very disobedient and irresponsible towards my country," said Salman, who is controversy's favourite child.
