Janhvi Kapoor who made a smashing debut with Dharma Productions ‘Dhadak’, is slowly becoming the next poster girl for Dharma studios. Earlier, she was given a part to play in Karan Johar’s magnum opus titled ‘Takht’ and now rumors are that she has bagged a role in Dharma Productions movie that will be based on the life of Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, one of India’s first female combat aviators, who was posted in Kargil during the 1999 war.
A source close to the project revealed that Janhvi has already started prepping for the film and she also met Gunjan to understand her life better. Dharma Productions is still on a lookout for a director to helm this project.
The source quoted: “Janhvi has already begun her prep and has met Gunjan to understand her story and observe her mannerisms. The film is expected to go on the floors sometime next year. While Karan is producing the film, a director is yet to be finalised.”
Meanwhile, Janhvi shows no sign of stopping after her debut. Recently she bagged her first advertisement contract and became a brand ambassador for Nykaa, a cosmetic brand.
Jahnvi is too excited for ‘Takht’ as well, the film will be a multi starrer featuring a pool of A-list stars including Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal among others. It is said to be a Mughal era tale of love, betrayal, power, lust and more.
